Established in 1922, The Hornet is one of the oldest two-year college newspapers in the state of California.

Originally called The Weekly Torch, the newspaper has a long and celebrated tradition of providing news and information to the any students, faculty, staff and administrators who have walked this campus over the years. Its dedication to this honorable tradition has won it local, state and national recognition.

The award-winning Hornet is a member of the California Newspaper Publisher’s Association, the Journalism Association of Community Colleges, American Collegiate Press Association and the Columbia Scholastic Press Association.

The Hornet is published daily online and distributed through its app and various social media outlets. It’s driven to capture audiences in a social, mobile and online capacity.

During the semester, The Hornet averages 400 unique views each day. Its Facebook, Instagram, along with Twitter numbers, continue to grow.

The Hornet is the perfect medium to reach directly to over 25,000 students and over 2,000 faculty and staff at Fullerton College.
